A location page is a more important part of SEO than you may think, but it’s pivotal to understand what they are before implementing them. So let’s break it down…
A local landing page, also known as a location page, is a web page that has been created for an individual store or location. Location pages are designed to attract customers in a local market using location-specific SEO strategies. Content on a location page should be specific to the geographical area of the business or businesses. Local landing pages tend to be most useful for service-based businesses and brick-and-mortars with multiple locations.
While it may seem tempting to only have the one Google Business Profile for a singular location (because time is money, we understand that), it’s important for your SEO game to have the locations for each location/ service (or service area) listed out to help customers in your area find you! These pages help gain organic visibility online, on both the maps and google search results.
Let’s go over just a few basics your location page should include:
1. Does your page include the name, address and phone number of the location? All of these details should match the businesses elsewhere – the website, citations, real world signage. Consistency is key!
2. Does your page include your hours of operation? This should match your open hours displayed on your Google Business Profile.
3. Have you embedded a map on your landing page? You can do this by clicking the share icon in Google maps. And remember to link the actual location, rather than just listing out the location.

These are just a few of the things you can do to optimize your location and landing page. As we mentioned before, consistency is key with your SEO. Google rewards you for keeping your information clean and consistent.
